Emma Mayfield
Apprentice
Emma Mayfield grew up in Arlington, Texas where she discovered her love for dance at the age of 3. She trained in jazz, contemporary, and tap until she shifted her focus to ballet when she was 14. Emma studied the Vaganova method at Art Ballet Academy under the instruction of Mariya Kudyakova until she graduated in 2021. She was very fortunate to be able to dance several soloist roles like Mercedes from Don Quixote and Autumn Fairy from Cinderella during her training. Emma went on to train in the Pre-professional Division at Colorado Ballet under the instruction of Erica Fischbach. She continued her professional training with Anaïs Chalendard by joining the Professional Division at Nashville Ballet. She was delighted to be given the opportunity to perform with the main company for The Nutcracker. Emma is very excited to join Central Illinois Ballet this year as an apprentice where she can grow her craft and dance alongside other passionate dancers.
