Cornerstone Academy Dress Code
Students can help their instructors give them the best dance education possible by adhering to our dress code. This creates an environment where teachers can assess technique, alignment, and other crucial aspects of dance training effectively. Help us by embracing the dress code with confidence, modesty, and unity!
In every level, ladies should wear their hair in a neat bun with no fly-aways and gentlemen should be sure that their hair is pulled back so that it does not get in their eyes.
Creative Movement, Kinder Dance, and Pre-Dance
Young Ladies: pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes
Gentlemen: white t-shirt, black leggings, white socks, black ballet shoes, black tap shoes
Ballet Levels 1-5
Young Ladies: any black leotard, pink or skin toned tights, pink or skin toned ballet shoes, short ballet skirts permitted in pre-pointe, pointe, and variations classes
Gentlemen: black or white t-shirt, black tights or leggings, black ballet shoes
Jazz, Modern, Tumbling Levels 1-5
Ballet uniform, optional black leggings or jazz pants to be worn over the ballet uniform, bare feet. Please check with your instructor about any additional clothing.
Tap Levels 1-5
Ballet uniform, optional black leggings or jazz pants to be worn over the ballet uniform, black tap shoes.
Hip-hop
Dancers may wear any dance/athletic wear that they can comfortably dance and stretch in. Students should wear sneakers that are designated for studio use only.
