
Katherine Miller
Apprentice
Katherine Miller grew up in Denver, Colorado where she began her training with the Colorado Ballet Academy at age 7, and continued to train there under Erica Fischbach for 11 years. Katherine then attended Butler University’s Jordan College of the Arts, to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Pedagogy. With Butler Ballet, Katherine had the opportunity to perform numerous pieces of classical repertoire, staged and coached by Rosanna Ruffo, including the role of Gamzatti in the Pas D’Action from La Bayadere. She also performed in several new contemporary works by David Ingram, including the principal role in Kato. Throughout her senior year, she created several new choreographic works, and became qualified to teach both Ballet and Jazz technique. Katherine served on the executive team of Butler Ballet’s honorary fraternity Sigma Rho Delta for two years, including one year as President. Katherine graduated from Butler in May 2026. This is Katherine's first season with Central Illinois Ballet.
