Fancy Nancy
Let’s learn about all things fancy and French with the fanciest dancer around, Fancy Nancy!
Ages: 3-6 year olds
Cost: $100
Dates: June 24-28 with a performance on June 28
Time: 10:00 am-1:00 pm
Nutcracker Camp
Get ready to audition for our annual staple, The Nutcracker with this fun camp! Learn all about Clara, her Nutcracker, the Rat King, and the Sugar Plum fairy and what it’s like to be in a real ballet.
Ages: 3-6 year olds
Cost: $100
Dates: July 29 - Aug. 2 with a performance on Aug. 2
Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Ballet to Broadway
Explore the world of Broadway! Learn about the art of storytelling through dance and music by diving into various family friendly musicals. This camp includes classes in ballet, jazz, musical theater, drama, and voice.
Ages: 6-10 year olds
Cost: $200
Dates: June 24-28 with a performance on June 28
Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Level 1-2 Summer Intensive
For dancers currently enrolled in Ballet 1 or 2 or ages 6-10. This program is designed to maintain and improve ballet technique for our youngest ballerinas.
Ages: 6-10 years old
Cost: $200
Dates: July 8-12 with a performance on July 12

Summer Intensives
Choreography Intensive
Students will have the opportunity to choreograph a piece on their peers with coaching and feedback from our professional dancers and instructors. Students may sign up as a choreographer or a dancer if they want to get more performance experience but are not yet ready to choreograph.
Ages: 10 and up

Dates: June 26-28
(Additional rehearsal/workshop days June 19, 26, and July 17, 31)
Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
*Performance will take place at the end of Company Experience Week
Master Class Week
In this one week intensive, dancers will have the opportunity to expand their horizons from the directors of CAPA and CIB as well as master teachers from different dance schools, cities, and styles.
Ages: 10 and up
Cost: $315
Dates: July 8-12 with a performance on July 12
Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Company Experience Week
This one week intensive features classes taught by our professional company members. Get a feel for what it’s like to be a professional dancer at Central Illinois Ballet with morning ballet classes, afternoon rehearsals, and a show at the end of the week featuring pieces learned throughout the week as well as student choreography pieces from the Choreography Camp!
Ages: 10 and up
Cost: $315
Dates: July 22-26 with a performance on July 26

Adult Summer Session
This program is perfect for adults and teens who want a taste for ballet and other styles of dance. These laid-back, easy-going sessions are perfect for adult dancers who are looking to try something new or are continuing their love of dance!
All classes are $10 per class and are paid on a drop-in basis. We also have punch cards available!
Tuesday - Ballet
Ballet is helpful for aligning, strengthening, and stretching both the body and the mind. It uses a full range of muscles while promoting cognitive functions such as coordination and concentration. Learn the basics of ballet through this class that’s friendly to all levels!
Dates: June 18, 25 and July 9, 16, 23, 30
Time: 6:45-7:45
Thursday - Mixed Bill
If you’re looking for something new, this is the class for you! In these classes, CAPA’s teachers will introduce a new dance style every week. From jazz, to tap, to modern dance, to salsa, this is not a class you’ll want to miss!
Dates: June 20, 27 and July 11, 18, 25, and Aug. 1
